Do you watch movies at the cinema? Or do you use a streaming app at home? Today, we will listen to people talk about what they like and dislike. Let’s learn the words!

Word	Definition (in simple English)
cinema	A place with a big screen where you go to watch movies.
streaming	Watching movies or shows on an app (like Netflix or YouTube).
exciting	Makes you feel happy and interested; very fun.
boring	Not interesting; makes you feel tired.
agree	To have the same idea or opinion as someone.
disagree	To have a different idea or opinion.

Listening for Agreement: Yes or No?

Have you ever been in a conversation where you feel the exact same way as the other person? That great feeling of connection is called agreement.

But what about when you have a completely different opinion? That’s called disagreement.

In English, people show these feelings in many ways. Let’s look at the two main ways you’ll hear this: the easy way and the “tricky” way.

1. The Clear & Simple Phrases

Sometimes, people are very direct. When you hear these words, it’s very easy to know exactly how they feel.

“I agree.”	“I disagree.”
“You’re right.”	“I don’t think so.”
“Me too.”	“That’s not true.”

2. The “Tricky” or Polite Phrases (Listen Carefully!)

Here is the most important part. In many situations, being too direct (like saying “I disagree”) can sound a little bit rude.

Because of this, people often use softer, more polite, or “tricky” phrases to show how they feel. You have to listen very carefully to catch their real meaning.
