Key Vocabulary
People at School

- Librarian: A person who works in the school library.
- Friend: A person you like and know well.

- Classroom: A room for learning lessons.

Listening for Clues

Tips for Success
- Listen for Keywords: Pay close attention to important words like names, places (e.g., classroom, library), and numbers. These are often the answers to questions.
- Focus on Question Words: When you hear words like Who, What, Where, and When, listen carefully to the information that follows.
- Don’t Panic: If you miss a word, keep listening! You can often understand the main idea from the rest of the conversation.
- Predict the Topic: Before you listen, think about the situation (“Conversations at School”). You can expect to hear words like student, teacher, class, and name.
