Main Activity
This is a story about people trying to keep fit. You are going to work in groups of eight people, but each person will have only one picture. You can talk about your pictures with the other people in your group, but you must not look at each other’s pictures. You must find the story and find out where your picture is in the story.
Work in groups of eight and each group will share one set of pictures, each group member will have a single picture from the story.
The teacher will be the one who divided the picture.
Think about how to describe your picture to your group. Make notes of important words, but do not write full sentences.
When all the groups have found the story and decided the correct sequence, look at all pictures together and arrange them into the correct sequence.
Alternative version A livelier way to do this activity is to have all students working in pairs or small groups sharing a single picture. Take turns to sit down with your picture and describe it to other pairs or groups while your partner moves around the class getting information about the other pictures. Every few minutes, go back to your partner to share information and change roles.
