Text: The Danger of Deepfakes
Deepfakes are videos or audio recordings that look real but are actually created by Artificial Intelligence (AI). Computer programs can swap faces or clone voices to make people say things they never said. This technology is becoming very advanced and hard to detect.
There are serious risks associated with deepfakes. First, they can be used to damage a person’s reputation by making them appear to do embarrassing or illegal things. Second, criminals can use deepfakes to steal money by impersonating a boss or family member on the phone. Finally, deepfakes can spread political lies, causing confusion among voters during elections.
