  2. Take turns reading your paragraph aloud in front of the class. Focus on:
    • Clear pronunciation.
    • Speaking at a steady pace.
    • Using appropriate intonation.
  3. After reading, answer basic questions from your classmates about the person you described.

Instructions for Listeners:

  • Pay attention to your classmate’s presentation.
  • Prepare 1–2 questions based on their paragraph.
    Example Questions:

    • “What do they do?”
    • “Why do you admire them?”

Activity 2: Pair Discussion

Ask and Answer Questions

  1. Work in pairs. Each student takes a turn reading their paragraph aloud to their partner.
  2. After listening, the partner asks 2–3 follow-up questions to learn more details about the person described.
    Sample Follow-Up Questions:

    • “What makes them special to you?”
    • “Have they influenced you in any way?”

Instructions:

  • Set a timer for each pair to discuss (about 7 minutes per round).
  • Switch roles so both students get a chance to present and ask questions.

Activity 3: Group Activity

Present and Share

  1. Each student presents their paragraph aloud to the entire class.
  2. After the presentation, the class can ask basic questions to the presenter about the person they described.

    • “What is one interesting fact about them?”
    • “How would you describe their personality?”

Interview About Someone You Know
